Free event and free access
What is VLCTechFest?
VLCTechFest 2026 - Discover, connect and share
VLCTechFest is a day of talks by and for the technology communities of the Valencian Community. An event to learn, be inspired and network in an open and collaborative environment.
Following the format of conferences with several simultaneous tracks, we offer talks for all audiences, with space for questions and moments dedicated to interaction between participants.
It is a festival where participation is key. For this reason, it is a free event with open access until it reaches full capacity. Since its first edition in 2018, when more than 120 participants joined us, VLCTechFest has grown and evolved with each edition.
After a forced break in 2020 and 2021, we came back strong in 2024, and now we’re back in 2026 with more energy than ever to continue sharing knowledge and connecting the community.
We look forward to seeing you at VLCTechFest 2026!
Tech Fest Values
Defense of free software values
Tech Fest promotes the use and philosophy of free software as a way to make technology more accessible and collaborative. We believe in transparency and collective learning, driving the use of open tools that foster innovation and community empowerment. Through free software, we seek to eliminate barriers and ensure that technology is accessible to everyone, without restrictions.
Inclusivity
We aim to make everyone feel welcome at the event. We apply an anonymous talk selection process to reduce bias and provide equal opportunities to all voices. Additionally, we strive to create a safe and respectful environment, where participation is free from any type of discrimination and everyone can express themselves with confidence.
Diversity
We value the plurality of ideas, experiences, and approaches within the tech community. Therefore, we seek talks that address a wide variety of topics and experience levels, ensuring interesting and accessible content for all attendees. We also promote equitable representation in presentations, advocating for diversity of perspectives and knowledge to enrich the technological field, including balanced gender representation, to enrich the technological field.
Promotion of local tech communities
Tech Fest is born from and for the tech communities of the Valencian Community. We support and give voice to local communities, promoting knowledge exchange and close contact between their members, those that are part of our network. We value the proximity and direct impact we can generate within our community, enhancing collective growth and creating spaces where knowledge flows in an accessible and collaborative manner.
